In 1967, Nebraska celebrated its 100th year anniversary as a state, and Ash Hollow was integral to the festivities. A very large pageant was held in Ash Hollow. It was tremendously successful and for the last decade, a scaled down version of the pageant has been performed in the park.
Continuing with this tradition, Friends of Ash Hollow is planning a major event for the 150th anniversary of Nebraska. With five project areas, encompassing the cultures that utilized the area including the Native Americans, Fur Traders, Military, Cowboys and Homesteaders, you’ll get a glimpse of how it was to live 150 years ago.
Each area will be hosting lively discussions for attendees to enjoy.
